Subject: Not the End of the World BUT... Author: Catherine [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 19:44:03 05/21/11 Sat Well, although the world did not come to an end today, Yvan is not likely to forget May 21, 2011. He had an emergency appendectomy today. He had already diagnosed himself with food poisoning so it was a bit difficult coming to terms with the fact that it wasn't that. Alex and I had our last day of tutoring, and he had to drive himself to the emergency dept. at Salem Hospital. By the time I got there, they were about to take him up to the OR. Imagine my surprise when his surgeon turned out to be the same dr. who performed my colonoscopy two months ago. When we were introduced, I mentioned that he had recently done my colonoscopy, at which point he said, "turn around" HaHaHa! He described it as a little medical humor. Anyway, he called us in the waiting room an hour later to let us know that all had gone well, no perforation, and they were able to remove the appendix laparoscopically and he would just be in overnight.
