Erin and Andy's first email, I promise I won't put them all on, just snippets.

Hello hello,
We arrived safely and are now settled into our hostel.....we finally have internet access and you are the first people we are emailing. It was a long long flight and the bags were a bit of a hassle in San Francisco but we made it. The flight to Sydney made a 3 hour detour to Brisbane to refuel, lots of fun. Luckily for me I slept the first 9 hours so the last 8 did not seem as long. Also you go so far into the future that you are barely jet lagged, tired, but certainly not too wired to sleep.
Sydney is great so far very beautiful...Manly Beach is amazing, I think I could get used to the beaches, although our first beach experience involved a shark siting and evacuation. Some people didn't even get out of the water and a group of boys on boards paddled around trying to find it. Exciting! We didn't bring our suits so were never in the water so less scary then if we had been. Andy thought he saw the shark and kept pointing out the fin to me...I tried unsuccessfully to take pictures of it...turned out it was a diving bird...hahaa. Such gullible tourists we are. The weather is beautiful and I am amazed by the trees and birds. You are going to be bored out of your minds looking at pictures of trees. The flowers are in bloom and very fragrant. Yes I definitely could get used to it here.
Congratulations on the award Dad! I think you should have had the main photo. Good job Celeste on nominating him, what am I going to do to top that? Perhaps get him onto Chelsea as an honourary player.
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! I wish I could have sent a message yesterday but we didn't have internet yet. I guess it is yesterday for you though so I am still on time.
Anyhow there is a half an hour limit so I better get on booking our flight to Perth. Barbara sent us another email and said she would pick us up at the airport, so nice. I am really looking forward to meeting her and can't wait for the heat...although I think it is going to be about a 15 degree increase from Sydney...yikes!
Anyhow my love to everyone and give the cats a hug from me...Dani can do that...hahaaa.
xoxoxo
