We are now in Perth and it has been amazing so far. Barbara has been great to us and has made us feel incredibly welcome. She picked us up lastnight at the Airport and we stayed up drinking and talking with her and her son, Matt, and his friend. The time difference and beer(I only had three but it did me in) made getting up this morning tricky but we started the day with a swim in her pool which was great. She took us for a drive around the sights of Perth and then we went to a famous Pub to have a drink and some pizza with her Mom Marie and her brother Robert. They were lots of fun but have enjoyed scaring us about all the man eating things here is Western Australia, it's amazing anyone survives...hahaa, I think they are just joking but every once in a while they say they are serious but then laugh again. After that we went back to Marie's and she showed us some old photos which were great...lots of Nanny and Grampy and co. even one of me, you had sent over Dad, funny.
They are helping us plan a little of the trip and also Barbara has offered to drive us around everywhere...so nice, not sure how we will repay her.
Anyhow everything is perfect, hopefully tomorrow will be a little less windy then today and we can head down to the beach to be eaten by a great white.
