I just read the news hot off the wire that Liverpool, in their attempt to land one of the most sought after available managers to guide their team back to the promised land atop the English Premier division, was outfoxed by Stratford Football Club who snapped up young Kenny Murphy as their manager.
Many in Liverpool are blaming the team owner for allowing Liverpool to miss out on bringing "Murphy's Law" to that storied franchise. Adding salt to the wound was knowing that under the leadership of young Mr. Murphy Stratford won their season opener 1 - 0. The Beacon Herald summed it up well, "Despite winning in his first debut as team manager, Kenny Murphy summed it all up by saying "the lads played well". This win aligns perfectly with the new objectives of the squad this year ,which was different from the philosophy of the outgoing manager. The new objective and philosophy of the squad, "Our objective this year is to win". I believe this came from the infamous Director of operations, Tony. I wish the Leafs could figure that out.
