Good to see the Mayor hasn't given up on the board. The inactivity is getting too common.....
Anyway the summer has come and almost gone. Its amazing how that happens. Sounds like the golf tournament was exciting as usual. I was disappointed I couldn't make it but I did send my older less wiser brother in my place. I told him to represent me well...leave the temper and the guitar at home. As for his performance it sounds like all that time at the range could have been better spent doing something else. Speaking of the Guitarist, he was just here in Boston for a visit with May. I'm always taken aback by how talented of a musician he is becoming. How did all the musical talent just go to him. Where's my slice of the genetic pie. Then again I'd like to hear him try to sing the song "Angel" with his Uncle Pete and hit the high notes like we do. Take that! Speaking of Uncle's, it was unfortunate to hear about my great Uncle John. I only met him a few times but it's a nice reminder for me to appreciate MY UNCLES! Yes you know who you are out there sitting around with your bellies hanging over the computer desk. I couldn't find a better bunch of guys. *Insert tear drop here*
Anyway the summer's been going alright. I really like the social dynamic of working in retail. I'm sure that will wear off after a couple of years but for now I'm soaking it all in. I'm also enjoying living at home with Mommy. All those years of making fun of the boys for living at the Farm. Turns out they had it all figured out. Apart from the odd call at work to yell at me for peeing on the toilet seat or the all too common knock on my bedroom door asking me "what's going on in there" or coming home to find posters of athletes on my door..its been pretty smooth sailing. If it wasn't for the somewhat digusted facial expression and subsequent abrupt ending of conversation with any female who I might mention to that I'm living at home with my mother.....I could get used to this. Unfortunately I'll have to be getting my act together soon and look for a more established working and living situation. Sounds like I might want to put in an early application for the position of snow shoveler in Stuffyville.
So to all my loving family members out there who I haven't seen this summer enjoy what's left of it, I hope all is well and I think of you often.
