Happy Hogmanay and a chorus of Auld Lang Syne to everyone in the family as we say cheerio to 2008 and welcome in 2009. I just read that we were a second early with our celebrations as Greenwich added a leap-second on to 2008 to compensate for the slowing rotation of the earth. I thought that felt like a longer year!
Thank you to Christene and Jonathan and Alex for a great time, great food and drink, great accommodations and the usual high level of merriment and the host's magnanimity in letting his next eldest brother and I dust the Brunswick with he and Kenny. Don't fret, only 365 days to wait for revenge!
