Well said, Jon!

Unfortunately I don't have much to report. Alex was sick yesterday with a fever. I spent Valentine's Day nursing him back to health in a true act of love. You might say that doesn't sound like much - any wife would do the same, but if you had to listen to him all day groaning and carrying on about his headache, his backache, his joint pain, and generally feeling terrible, you would appreciate how difficult it is sometimes to smile and serve delicious homemade soup and a herb salad with orange segments, plus steak for dinner and my own homemade individual chocolate volcano cakes with whipped cream on top, all of which he ate with gusto in spite of his fever and ailments. Not to mention I made a trip to Starbucks for his favorite- grande latte. Hopefully his Valentine's gift to me won't be the flu.

I will promise, however, to try to post the photos from your birthday last July, some of which are really very nice. There is also a video, and I will see if we can't put that up somewhere to share.

love to all and enjoy Family Day,

catherine
