Hey guys! I thought I'd jot some thoughts down on here before I leave for yet another long, grueling day at Masters! (Just kidin!)
I heard a REALLY good sermon yesterday. The pastor was talking about our thought patterns and how totally warped they are. He used this illustration: Imagine your mind as a clear container of water. Imagine that this water is a mucky brown. That symbolizes our thoughts. Now imagine another clear container of water next to yours, but this one has fresh, pure water. This is God's word, the truth.
In order for our vision to be cleared, we MUST pour our mucky water out before the cross and replace it with Christ's pure water. But you can't just do this once and expect it to be done! Every day you must come right back to the cross and pour your spioled thinking out and let Him fill your 'container' back up with His word. And what better way than by reading His word??? Pick up your bible every day, multiple times a day if you chose, and let Christ fill your head with Him, leaving no room for anything else.
I can't tell you how much that convicted me! I thought of all the times that I have totally neglected talking with God and reading the word just because I don't feel like it, when really that is those are the times that I probably need it the most!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE!

God bless!
