The Big John Barr Tyres Cougars would like to send a message to all the Mulgrave Coastal people who gave up their time and effort for making us feel so welcome.

This was the first ever time that Charters Towers had our Representative Teams go away for games, and from all reports they enjoyed themselves.

Special thanks must go to the Mulgrave Association and their committee for organising such an event. Also to the Trinity Beach Caravan Park and Lake Placid Resort where our teams stayed. Also to Douglas Buses for transporting us all down there.

Townsville Basketball has been a long supporter of Charters Towers and has helped us continually in our growth. Mulgrave has now also been added to our long term friends in basketball.

We look forward to perhaps having you all come down here one day so that we can return the favor.

The professionalism you all showed was incredible and it is good to see that associations like yours continue to help promote and develop the sport outside your own boundries.
