Subject: how do you know if your phsycic?

My name is Dan I am 24 and Im wondering how do u know for sure if your actually physcic? I went through stages where I can sometimes predict what was going to happen, I am also able to be asked questions and give "readings" in a sense. I read a few books on the subject and I read u can improve your senses, or in fact "turn them off" I believe I actually turned them off, or tuned them out whoever you want to put it because i became to emotional, but now I can't seem to really do anything anymore. Was I infact a little physcic, or were these just flukes????
