kia ora everyone. My name is Sonia and I am a native of New Zealand and very proud to be Maori. At this point in time here at home we are experiencing issues related to our culture and I'm sure all indigenous tribes from around the globe are as well. For some reason I have always had a very strong attraction to the Native American Indian Culture especially spiritually. They are beautiful people and although I have never met let alone speak to such a person I have the utmost respect for them. Your nation like our tribes here in NZ have fought long and hard for many years over issues which we feel so strongly about. I myself have experienced prejudices of being dark skinned and I feel sad for those that think or have this inner hatred. The world would be a better place for all if we were able to live a long side each other and respect one another. Spiritually I believe we all have a guide and for me it's all about holding on tight to your beliefs, having faith and never giving up, but most of all love and respect especilly for our children and elders. Our children because they are our future and our elders because they are the key to knowledge.
