I have had a similar experience with sleep paralasis
it happened 20-30 times but the entity was in the form of a disfigured male child..Although this entity did not attack me and never said a word it overwhemingly teriffied me with it's constant and odd stare...the first ten times I was so scared I thought I might literally die...But as time went on I was able to control my fear and with practice by 30th time or so I could control my fear completely...Then one night when it was there with me staring at me I gathered all my strength and said
"no,you are not welcome here..,I don,t want you coming here any more." and closed my eyes and went to sleep..It never happened again after that......Please do not think I am compareing my experience to what you are going through..I am not!! As with you I was at a vulnerable part of my life and I think you are right..Thats when they appear...I just think that if you condition yourself and get yourself angry at what is happening and use your love of your son and god as your strength you could expell this entity from your life...Just be confident,determained and have strong faith....well I wish you well and God bless you..
