Subject: Pantswich's argument cannot be negated

The New Brunswick music scene is one of the most noticeable earmarks of the decadence of music as an art form. It is here that the height of 'scene-dom' has been reached. It is here that 'music fans' are given a choice of music akin to choosing amongst different shades of the same muck brown. Yet their full-blown abulia fits in perfectly with this situation. This all-encompassing matrix of shit grants these scenesters the delusion that they are finely tuned musical critics, or worse yet, that they have good taste. When presented with something original, it is not that they do not see its originality; it is that they simply do not care. They simply do not value originality. What a shame. With bands like CleverHans, Dibs and Outsmarting Simon in the mix, this whole central NJ incestuous web of muccus and vomit dubbed a music scene should burn and be paved over to make way for real bands. Bands that use progressions that a thirteen year old guitar novice couldn't pull out of his ass. Bands that write lyrics that are thought provoking or at least cohesive. Bands that care about what they do and work towards the ascension of the ART of music.

To quote one of the best bands you've never heard of, 'Porcupine Tree', from the song, 'The Sound of Muzak' about the current sub-standard status of music and its inevitable further decline:

"One of the wonders of the world is going down
It's one of the blunders of the world that no one cares
No one cares enough"
