Yes, I have to remind myself to think positively in life - half full rather than half empty! It’s frightening to think that our shelf life is anything from 5 to 10 years from now - that is a very conservative estimate for the life span of an average Malaysian male! Anything beyond that is a bonus!

Anyway, can our shelf life be improved? Actually, it can be to a certain extent. The fact that all of us interact in this message board is one way to achieve that. I read that too much time on your own (El Toto, please take note!) can be bad for us.

“Research suggests that having strong social bonds promotes brain health, reduces feelings of depression and stress and encourages you to look after your health. In fact, a study found that having few friends affects your longevity as much as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.”

Ray – you are doing fine! Your daily presence is felt by most of us through your circulation of images that keeps us feeling young and virile!

LG – it is good of you to remind us to share how we are doing. As for me, I could feel my age – a little ache here, and a little ache there. But I am doing a bit of treadmill now and then to keep my heart (‘tick-tock’ according to Ray) pumping, also to reduce my abdominal fat. My tail bone pain is still there – according to the doctor, I got to live with it!

I think, according to Lance Tan (Kok Hin), when were young, we have lots of energy but no money, but now as get older, we have a little more money, but no energy!!
