MAGIC SERPENT

I pray to transform myself into a magic serpent;
The ability to shed well my worn-out garment.
With power to rejuvenate aging organs;
And rid the body of all physical burdens.
The mind would be free of bodily complaints and constraints;
Free from all restraints, I would be as light as a liberated saint;
Fly wherever and whenever I fancy;
Meeting beings who do not hee-haw about supremacy.

Today, I received an enquiry whether I were white or green. Here was my reply:

WHITE OR GREEN?

Am I a white or green snake?
To flag any colour will be fake.
Uncertain you enquire about folklore;
Or about the venoms that we deplore?
It's a magical snake in my dream;
As the body travels downstream.
If I meet a donkey, my garments derange;
For my sweethearts, the magic will change.
