Hi LG,

Ides of March reminds me of my birthday as it falls 10 days later – which means I will be sixty five – a day when I have to hang up my uniforms as my wings are being clipped.

Yes, I am fully retired from flying at last! At the moment, I am on leave prior to my retirement – relaxing at Club Med Cherating, near to Kuantan – so near to home yet this is my first visit here.

What am I going to do after retirement?

One option to keep my mind active is to continue with aviation as I contribute to Air Asia in-flight magazine (one article monthly) and teach on the ground as a simulator flight instructor.

Some says I should spend more time with my grandchildren. In fact I am doing it right now – having the best of both worlds. So I got no complain if I were to slow down with less stressful activity on the ground.

Yes, I think most grandfathers are very happy with their grandchildren – never been happier before for me!

Yes, I also agree with you to stay happy today for tomorrow will never come!
