 MCL relayed a message from Ayob informing that Inder Singh passed away on 2 Sep 2011. The funeral was scheduled on 3 Sep 2011.

I went to Klang on 3 Sep 11 at 9 in the morning and managed to locate his house in Bukit Kuda with ease. Gathered that the remains was only brought out from the hospital mortuary this morning and sent to the Sikh Temple for bathing rites. It was brought back to his house at 10.30a.m. for relatives and friends to pay last respect. Glad I was there 'cos he and especially his brother, the late Joginder Singh, were close to me.

He was stricken with pneumonia and was admitted to the University Hospital. Succumbed to heart attack there. He was 76.

The remains will be cremated at Fairy Park, Meru at 2 pm on 3 Sep 11.

This is the first time I had witnessed a Punjabi funeral arrangement. Generally, the dead is cremated on the same day if there is still daylight. Unlike Chinese funeral services, there is no side table or box for visitors to contribute some donations.
