If I were you, I would spend money on MRI of neck than on the tail, because coccynx pain could easily be resolved with NSAID, and the anatomy there is less complicated or relevant, except the pain.
And, I would not allow chiropracter to manupulate my neck.
Any mishaps, you would regret for life. You would find the same few steps.
If you wish to play with alternative therapy, I suggest less harmful ones, such as cup and body therapy or mobustion with acupucture. There are also a series of stretch exercises, coupled with Qi Cong, and acupressure points that may help.
