Captain Lim,

I would have thought that Air Asia will be using the A340s'. Mark my words, even if they started with A330s - Air Asia/JetStar will find an overwhelming number of passengers who currently do not have a choice of Airlines SYD-KL. MAS monoploses this route currently and a lot of visitors from Sydney to Malaysia have to go via Singapore or Bangkok. If the KL-Melbourne route does well even with 2 flights daily.....they will need 3 flights to and from Sydney.

With the very attractive Air Asia fares from KL to other destinations the 2 partner Airlines will have to put on additional services in no time at all or use larger planes. This SYD-KL-SYD route is already 101% booked out during the University/School holidays and C. N. Year periods.

My prediction is that we will see you (flying A340s) in Sydney before the end of 2010. See you then (if not before).

Ray
