Hi Guys,

I am back in Sydney (got in this morning).
I just wanted to thank the lot of you for putting on and attending the get together on the 15th July.
It is always so good to see each and every one of you - even though it's once every 4 years or so.

Julie (remember her?) also sends her love and best wishes and she told me to say that she never realised that there are so many cheeky Apeks in Klang as well as good dancers.
She really had a great time and you all made her feel so much at home & comfortable among friends. Now she threatens to make latin dancers out of all of us. Hahaha!

We travelled Malaysia from Klang-KL-Singapore-Penang-KL and back to Singapore and this trip was certainly an eye opener.
The country has clearly matured tremendously during the past 4 years. It is so much cleaner, people are much more civic-minded and the new shopping Centres are absolutely marvellous and chic. Also progress has been made in leaps and bounds politically wise.
Julie is a great gal and companion and I hope you will see a lot more of her in the coming years whenever we all meet up again.

Also thank you to my durian compatriots (especially the Captain and El Toro) for making this trip a particularly stinking one (literally). This is the first time I have returned in 40 years that such an abundant & good crop has sprung up. There are so many varieites that I could not eventually keep count. I still think that my favourite variety was the 'marjorin' that we had on the very first night.

So, I will look forward to some more photos been posted on the website. Thanks NBH and MCL for the email photos.
