Virgil "Chad" L. Chadwick 76, passed away January 26, 2011. He was born September 4, 1934 to the late Theodore and Gladys (Sheppard) Chadwick. A longtime resident of Indianapolis, Virgil was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and married Jacolyn Jean Reynolds, who preceded him in death February 1, 2005. He was employed with H. H. Gregg for 28 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Keystone Masonic Lodge #251 F.& A.M. Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with funeral services Saturday at 12 noon. Virgil is survived by his children, Laura (Rick) Wells and Gary (Tami) Chadwick; siblings, Jack Chadwick and Audrey Phillips; grandchildren, Kara Theil, Karina and Kurtis Wells, Whitney Bond and Alexis Williams; and five great-great-grandchildren. A brother, Ted Chadwick, also preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Home Health & Hospice, 801 N. State St., Greenfield, 46140.
