Robert W. Basore 92, of Indianapolis, passed away August 9, 2011. He was born August 18, 1918 in Indianapolis to the late Herman and Aline Perry Basore. Bob graduated from Tech. High School and married Emma E. Miller August 16, 1940. He worked as a machinist for Allison Transmission for 37 years, retiring in 1978. Bob was a 74 year member of Calvary Tabernacle. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Tabernacle, 902 Fletcher Ave. Surviving is his loving wife of 71 years, Emma E. Basore; sons, Dan (Christine), Don (Susie) and Jon (Ruth) Basore; daughter, Evelyn Earl; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A sister, Virginia Jones, preceded him in death. Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel. www.shirleybrothers.com
