Charles "Chuck" H. McKnight, Jr.
80, life resident of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012. Charles was born March 16, 1931 to Charles H. and Jessie M. McKnight.
He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 481 for over 61 years. He also belonged to Mystic Circle Masonic Lodge, Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite organizations.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 51 years, Henrietta; son, Charles J. (Jill) McKnight; daughter, Sherry Lynn Sandberg (Jess) and stepson, David Austrew (Shelley); three granddaughters, Shannon, Riley and Morgan McKnight and brothers, Richard (Diane) and James (Sally) McKnight.
Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12 in Flanner and Buchanan - Broad Ripple , with calling on Wednesday, Jan. 11 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indianapolis or charity of donor's choice. Online condolences may be shared with the family at:
