Dear Alpha Chi Alumni:
I apologize for not letting you know sooner, but I just wanted to announce a few things going on in the collegiate chapter:
I'd like to reiterate Nicole Babb's, VP of Fraternity Relations, earlier message to please attend the Purple Ribbon Benefit Concert! We are sponsoring the Second Annual Purple Ribbon Benefit Concert on Wednesday, April 13th in the St. Charles Room on Loyola’s main campus. The event is co-sponsored with AKA and will feature a step show, along with the musical talents of Anew, Shades of Brown, Lucy Gasset, The Last Saints, and Empire. There will also be a silent auction. Please come and support the victims of domestic violence, the Eta Theta Chapter of AKA, and the Zeta Psi Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega from 7:30-10:30 on Wednesday, April 13th in the St. Charles Room of the Dana Center. We’d love to have our alumni there! Please contact Nicole Babb, nmbabb@loyno.edu if you'd like to would be interested in making donations for the auction or concert, or have a company that would be interested, it would be greatly appreciated. Tickets are $5 each and all proceeds will benefit the Crescent House, our local battered women’s shelter.
It’s Greek Week! During this week Alpha Chi has participated in multiple Greek events going on in the Greek Community. We have participated in events like “Greek Family Fued,” “Greek Olympics,” and a banner competition. The Spring 2005 New Member Class participated in the “Air band” competition, and put on an excellent performance—finishing with DJ $krilla’s song “Alpha Chi Omega” to the tune of “Right Thurr.” If you’d like to hear DJ $crilla’s version of this song, http://www.students.bucknell.edu/nroseszu/DJ$crilla-AlphaChiOmega.mp3, and have a listen. Congrats to Spring ’05 for an excellent performance.
On Friday, April 8th, members of the collegiate chapter will be volunteering at the Metro Battered Women’s Shelter Gala.
Liz Schafer, one of our advisors, gave birth to Andrew Gregory on Friday, March 25th. We are very excited for Liz, and wish her the best of luck! Some of you had been inquiring on her condition, and we wanted to let you know!
If you have no updated you information in our records, PLEASE DO SO! We need your name, email address, home address, telephone number(s), new member class, graduation year, bond number (if you have it) and what you know of your lineage! Our records were lost in a terrible computer failure last year, so we need your information! Please forward this email to any Zeta Psi Alumni that you keep in touch with, so that we can add them to our list-serve!
We also have a lot of seniors graduating this year who are actively searching for jobs! If you know of any openings that these knowledgeable women can apply for, please email Liz Kramer, VP Communications, at eckramer@loyno.edu or alphachi@loyno.edu and she will pass that information along to our seniors!
