AXO Sisters,
On October 23 the Greek Alumni Board will host its annual Greek Alumni Golf Tournament in Ormond, Louisiana (Between New Orleans and LaPlace). You may have received a flyer in the mail. If you are interested in playing, having your husband/significant other play, or just want to come to the after party see the information below in this e-mail. The board would like each sorority and fraternity to sponsor a tee for the event. The minimum needed to sponsor a tee is $100. Would any of you be interested in donating money so we could get one? I thought if everyone could throw in $10 or $15 dollars then we could easily pay for it and if we end up with extra then we could get one of the larger sponsorships (see below). It is for a good cause and it is considered part of your annual contribution to Loyola (so if you give as part of this…you will be listed in the annual listing of contributors).
The tournament raises money to provide a yearly scholarship to a male and female Greek member each year. Each Sorority and Fraternity can nominate one person. The nominated person submits their Resume, GPA, Activities, etc. All identifying information is removed and a committee panel made up of members of the board select the two recipients. Then the board is told whom they selected and the winners are notified. The winners each get a $500 scholarship; although it will hopefully be more in the future once the fund really has some money in it.
Let me know if you want to contribute and how much and I will compile a list. Then we will work out how everyone can submit their money to Loyola.

Lunch- 11:30 a.m. Shotgun Start - 1:00 p.m. 19th Hole - 5:30 p.m.

COST
Includes green fees, cart rental, awards, prizes, lunch, 19th hole
party, plus practice balls and use of the driving range.
$25 19th hole party for non-golfers-please join us!
$80 Individual Player
$300 Foursome
HOLE SPONSORSHIPS
$100 Maroon Sponsorship (includes sign on tee)
$250 Gold Sponsorship (includes sign on tee and beer cart)
$500 Lunch Sponsorship (includes sign on tee and in lunchroom)
$750 19th Hole Sponsorship (includes sign on tee and at party)
Teams will be organized in four member scrambles. You may recruit your
own team or be assigned to a group. This scramble is open to all alumni
and friends. You do not need to be a Greek alumnus/a to participate. We
are requesting that all RSVP's be received no later than Monday, October
18, 2004. For your convenience, VISA and MasterCard reservations will be
taken over the phone.
