Subject: vTFL (1.5)

After aquiring the "rights to use TFL code" and quite a bit of effort to get the code in SB vTFL ... I believe that Iron and da Magma group have the making of a decent fix here.

When the public beta hits (1.5) ... I urge u dudes to give vTFL a serious try. Compare the new vTFL with the 1.4 that initially released and u will see for yourself wut I am talking about.

If they had the TFL code from the start ... vTFL 1.4 would have been a decent alternative ... but that's water under the bridge. We possibly have a decent fix here mb.

I am no TFL expert as many of u .. but check it out:

vTFL Melee move much better like real TFL.

TFL style micro during engagement too, not like 1.4 where half the units acted like they were tripping on lsd and couldn't find a target even when u micro'd em.

Trow move better too (not like they walking in SBish mud like before).

Shift-Click for range units has also been incorporated.

Archers and Dwarves retreat "into" melee better instead of moving "around" the melee.

I'm no expert on CB units ... but if u guys find some weirdness ... jst tell Iron etc.

I tested puss and satch/bombs and I don't see any problems with "duds" which I am told 1.4 had.

Satchel traps and bottles in water explode like TFL ... not like 1.4 where half of them never ignited.

Btw, Shift-click melee bug is also incorporated on purpose for "fun" =D.

Guess I am giving it da "Rubba Stamp" of approval for u to try out.

OMG .. I can't wait to get some vTFL 1.5 in and use the Interstate Love Trow and CBI plugs! =)
