Subject: State of the Union

All right, got a lot to talk about, so I'll just jump right into it.

First and foremost, I thank everyone who's offered words of encouragement, understanding, and offered to help in any way they can. It's appreciated more than I can say.

Second, the OOC arguing stops now. I've been in too many feds where OOC wars erupted (hell, I've started a few myself) and it brought down the fed from the inside. One guy gets pissed at another, the other guy says something back, people take side, one person leaves, another person leaves, and it just snow balls until the President gets pissed off worse than everyone, blows a gasket, and shuts down the fed. I have a lot of friends behind the scenes here, but I'm telling everyone right now that I won't hesitate to block people from the boards if they go too far, no matter who they are. If this game (and I stress the word GAME) is to be fun for everyone, everyone is getting an equal chance to be successful and have fun. Do I personally like some people more than others? Yes I do, I'm only human. Is that going to play into who gets title shots and wins championships/matches? The answer to that is an emphatic NO. I'm making that clear to everyone. It hasn't been called into question, but somehow it always comes up somewhere in a fed's run.

Bringing it down to the personal level, the OOC back and forth arguments between DBH and half the rest of the roster, has to stop. I could be wrong about this, but I have a feeling that people still have a bad taste in their mouth after DBH's comments about Gyon a while ago. If I'm wrong and it's something else, whatever, people are going to think what they want to think about whoever they want, and I can't say or do anything to change that. If you have a problem with someone, fine, just keep it off the boards. If someone annoys you, you can stop reading their posts, and let me know and I'll try to never match you up in any kind of angles or whatever with that person. There are plenty of ways to coexist together, without interacting. That's all I ask, just coexist, you don't have to be best pals, or even like each other.

Joking with each other on the OOC board is fine...just make sure it's CLEARLY joking. To be honest, I've read a few posts where it seems like they're joking, but it's hard to tell for sure. That kind of stuff is what leads to everything boiling over.

Also, I don't give a damn where everyone comes from. If you're from Australia, great, England? Wonderful. USA? Hey, we've got something in common. Your country of origin makes no difference to me other than trying to figure out the time difference between us. I'm glad you're all willing to show home country pride, but if you really feel the need to argue which country is the greatest one in the world, go find a political newsboard or chatroom, and fight it out there. This is a fake wrestling game where we all get to pretend we're a big shot for a few hours each week, and have fun doing it, so let's just leave it at that could we please?

Let's see, what else do I have on my plate? Oh yes, I've received several emails regarding posts made by people outside of this federation directed at people who are in the fed. While it hasn't really bothered me because I tend to ignore them, some people have taken offense to it, and would like it stopped. To save myself from having to ban anyone from the boards, I'm just making a request right now to anyone who has friends who come to the boards to ask them to contact you via email, or messenger, or basically any other method other than posting on the CWF boards. I'd like to keep the CWF boards exclusive for people actually in the CWF.


Ok, on to my own short comings. The lateness of the results in particular. As you know by my many posts about it, I was insanely busy the last couple weeks outside of the fed. While all that work has come down to a normal level, I'm feeling some major burnout from it. I would sit down to do the results, and would just feel a total lack of motivation, and then I'd go do something else. But I'd always come back to them with the intent of finishing them by Wednesday so I could post them on time. Unfortunately usually my delays would always be added onto by computer trouble, family stuff, or in the most recent events, electrical trouble. So the lateness of the results is a combined effort from my lack of motivation (laziness basically) and outside influences. I apologize. But on the plus side, I'm a writer (professionally) and know what it's like to feel burn out on more than one occasion, and I know that it always passes. So if you can stick with me, and understand it, I can assure that at some point in the future, things will return to something that's relatively close to normal.

In specific regards to last week's results, a lot of crap happened to keep those from being up. Some good, some bad, but when everything was said in done...they were lost from my computer. Think what you want, but I did have them written and ready to post, I'm always going to be honest about the results, and why they're not up. If they're not up because I didn't feel like posting them on time (and that's the only reason) I'll tell you that. It's not going to hurt my feelings if you get pissed off, call me a bad president, and quit, because you can be replaced. So can I, it's a fact we all have to deal with and figure out if we're going to take this game super seriously, or just relax and have fun. I realize that the results are what makes everything fun, and moves everything forward, so I'm always going to do my best to get them up on time, because that's what I'd want if I were in your position. I don't want to screw you guys out of quality results, and I probably like it less than most of you, but it happens. All I can say is that I'm trying to prevent that from happening as much as i can. With all that said, last week's results will be up in some form sometime tomorrow (probably late) with this week's results being up sometime on Thursday (again probably late). I haven't decided any winners for this week, so the deadline is extended until I leave a post on the OOC board saying it's closed...so if you don't see that post, you can still put a RP up and have it count.

In closing, I just want to remind everyone to chill out. This is a game, just like any game, it has it's ups and downs, people you like, people you don't like, but in the end, for the game to work, you have to just deal with everything or walk away. The choice is up to all of you. I'm doing this because I want to, not because I have to. If there is something that I'm doing, or someone else is doing that you REALLY can't stand, then there will be no hard feelings if you choose to walk.

And on one last note, I'm falling behind in emails again, so if you've emailed me or I said I was going to email you, and I haven't gotten to it, I'm not ignoring you, and you will get a response soon.
