I am curious what the Drs say as to how long it lasts. Meth can stay in the system for weeks. When my ex first came out to us he was using, he was highly paranoid, thought he was talking to "God" which he explained was his dad, through Craigs list, thought he saw people who were not there, thought he was being followed, locks on his doors messed with, his mail tampered with, and numbers on shirts represented some message specifically meant for him. After he stopped using for about a week and a 1/2 he was finally able to SOMEWHAT rationalize that those thoughts, though real to him, was the meth playing tricks on his brain. By 2 weeks he was no longer in that state.
Your son needs to go into a treatment facility as soon as he is released from the hospital and can understand what is going on and no longer in the psychosis. That is his best chance to get clean now and not go back to the drugs.
I pray for you and your family. Glad that you told your parents as you will need them to support and love you through this.
Keep us posted. :)
