Susan,
Addiction is sad, and it runs in my family also, my mother drank until the day she died. My nephew died at 24 from an overdose, 3 months later my mother died and 3 months after that my husband died, his family has no clue that he did a huge shot of heroin and killed himself. He had liver problems and was in and out of the hospital all the time, so it was no big surprise to them he passed away. But I know the truth. My youngest son's dad has also passed away, he had cancer, was also an addict and one of the last things he said to me was he wished he had a line!! How sad is that!!!! I will never touch that stuff again, and why I came thru it as well as I did, only GOD knows. I am so glad you are clean! I wished I had stopped at age 25. I missed out on life, truely!
