Hi Hula,
I miss you too and all the rest of the folks here. I am happy and sad about your divorce. You know I have been in that same spot so it is sad, but in its own way its great because you no longer have to deal with the insanity if you choose not to.
Everything is going great. I have stuck to my guns ever since the post from I think Shari saying I keep giving in. I actually do not even feel much towards him anymore and that is a good thing. He hasn't tried to contact us in two months at least. I can't wait for the one year mark. I will have a party. ha ha
Our sons 6th birthday is coming up on Monday. My tummy has had a few knots just thinking that a special day is coming up and that is when the addicts love to call. I am hoping he will not. My son is doing really great. He is extremely happy and back to my baby boy again. I will not compromise that ever again and this time I mean it. I feel great to be able to say it, mean it, and feel it all at the same time.
Our divorce was final last October, so pretty soon it will be one year. YAY! I am so happy to have that over with. My life with my boys is wonderful. I have added 2 new additions to my life. One is a cat named Annie. Spencer loves animals and a puppy wasn't going to work so I got him a kitten. Well he is a little rough with the cat but the cat loves his home. Yes Annie is a boy. We were told it was a girl so we names it Annie and he already knew his name so we couldn't change it. The cat has such a personality.
Also, to my life I added a new friend. His name is Junior. We have been friends for about 8 months. We started dating about 5 months ago. It was really neat to be someones friend first, although I was drooling every moment.
Some bad news, my cousin and his girlfriend that we thought were clean, well they are not. They have been using for at least 2-3 months now, or more. What a waste. He lost his job this month and thinks that using cocaine is ok as long as he is in control. Well he is not in control and I am sure meth is involved as well. They both are starting to look awful. She has sores all over her. She told me a spider it her. I will not allow them in my life any longer. I don't allow my sons dad around, so why would I allow my own family who uses drugs? I won't. My kids do not need to see that from anyone.
By the way, earlier this year I rec'd a promotion here at work and am working towards another one hopefully next year too. I have re-done my backyard for the summer and am working on the inside paint too. I am feeling great and my boys are happy, so that makes me really happy.
I pulled my oldest from Los Angeles Unified Schools because they are the worst and he is going into Middle School this September. I do not want him to follow in the foot steps of his dad or his ex step dad, so hopefully a change in environment will create a different path for him. I am praying. He is a lovely boy, he loves the Lord and lives his life for God, so I know he is going to do great. I spend all my time with my kids, occasionaly I will go out with friends, but usually my kids are with me and we hang out with my best friend and her family.
I miss you all too.
