Well, that can go either way for you, in my opinion. IN my situation, they already knew of his drug past, except they thought it was his past, not his present. I informed them right off pretty much. They have been of utmost support to me. But I almost feel my situation w/the IL's is not the norm.

How close are you to his sisters/mother? Would they just be completely shocked or what?

If he's been doing it for 3 years at least, he's got a 'good history' on it. Maybe if you talked w/his family , you guys could plan an intervention?
