Meth is a schedule 2 drug, it has medical use (Desoxyn), so you can get it from a shady doctor. Ma huang(Ephedra) can be extracted from certain plants from your local green house. There is the Natzi method, and bikers used to use the P2P method.

1980s - California motorcycle gangs begin making crystal methamphetamine in the form of a little rock. Phenyl-2-propanone (P2P) is classified by the government as a controlled substance. Before, it was a freely available chemical used to make meth. Now they substitute it with ephedrine. There will always be away, but once again addiction is more to due about the user than the drug. Good Luck.

They over turned this decision a year later in 2005, Ephedrine is back into stackers and gas station diet pills of that nature: Good Luck.
On April 12, 2004, a final rule went into effect prohibiting the sale of dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids (ephedra). Also called Ma huang, it is a plant product found in many over-the-counter cold remedies. Ephedra products have been promoted to aid in weight loss, enhance sports performance and increase energy. But the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined that ephedra presents an unreasonable risk of illness or injury. It has been linked to significant adverse health effects including heart attack and stroke. Persons with diabetes or hyperthyroidism are particularly prone to adverse reactions from ephedrine.
