Subject: You know what really pisses me off? I'm sure you don't, but now you will. :-) Warning...I'm adding this part after I'm done...I kinda skip around a lot, but it all comes together in the end. *L*

I'm the kinda guy who likes soundtracks. I think it's because of that damn good memory I've got (Larry knows all about that), and when I hear the music from a movie, I remember the scenes so well I may as well be watching it. So yeah, I'd gotten the Matrix Revolutions soundtrack some time ago.

This is all connected, so bear with me. *L*

I'd been trying for months now to be able to draw, particularly anime style, because I'm been wanting to animate the characters I have on the boards, particularly Seraph, Hero, and Vetrinus. Seraph I've gotten fair at, and I'm still trying to get motions and whatnot for him. My latest effort has been Hero of Time, but damned if I can't make him look good for SHIT. I haven't even bothered with Vetrinus yet. I was really wanting to make these two settle their score, as they certainly have one, but I wanted to supplement my writing with scenes, so you guys don't get lost. Plus, it'd be cool as hell. I've found, in my experience with *trying* to create that techno music stuff with Acid Pro, that I produce the best results when I'm doing it based on feelings or emotion. When I'm angry/frustrated or in some odd state of elation, I'm gotten stuff to sound GOOD, in my opinion. Same with drawing and writing. We all know movies can do that to us, and that's a whole reason to see them. And given how I can "see" a memory by hearing the music, I'll usually listen to something like that to get into my creative frame of mind.

The scene in Matrix Revolutions where Neo and Smith meet one last time was a favorite of mine, as there was an intensity - it wasn't like their first fight, where it's simply a fight in a subway; nor was it their second one, where Neo seems to be in no particular danger (seems more like a fun-battle or sorts); this was hatred, vengeance...they weren't playing around, and the damage distribution was mutual. They were just going all out, not screwing around with that faggy-jump-attack Morpheus does...just beating the shit out of each other. Shit, Neo even draws blood, something I didn't think could happen to an Agent. So yeah, anyhow, that intensity matched what I wanted a Hero/Vetrinus matchup to be like. So, in laying out the plot and the sequences, I'd use that track to set the mood.

Well, since I have no CD player in my house besides the one with headphones, I decided to use my PC. But this fucker didn't auto-play like it would any other CD. So I access it through Windows Explorer. I was hoping to copy the track to my PC as I've done before, for quick access. There are no music tracks, it says.

What the fuck? On a normal CD, you can see all of the tracks, but they're not HERE on this one. I don't know how they did it, but somehow media player can play the CD, though it takes a bit of trickery. I used Media player to copy the track, thank God, but still, I wondered what the other shit on the CD was, if there were no tracks.

I found the trailer for the movie, actually. I'd downloaded it long before I reformatted, and so now I didn't have it, and forgot where I got it. Fair enough, I'll check it out, see if it's a different one with other scenes. It's not, it's the same. BUT, this copy is SHIT. Jesus, it's skippy and shitty, the sound fails from time to time, etc. The one I downloaded was CRYSTAL CLEAR and perfect in every way. I figured since I actually paid MONEY for the CD, they'd be nice and include some content with a certain measure of quality to it. There's no extra features besides that...just a shitty trailer. And putting that shitty trailer on apparently messes up the idea of auto-play. I couldn't believe it. I'm upset. :-(

[> [> Lethal Spoon......*LOL* At one point, they were going to release Revolutions on the 6th of this month, but changed their minds. Since M2 and M3 were made at the same time, I'd imagine they have it ready, but just feel like building up hype. -- Hero of Time, 18:14:37 01/03/04 Sat (68-119-247-239-rcp2.ubr1.wrbg.mo.charter.com/68.119.247.239)
