First let me thank all you brave men and women for your service - I will never personally know what sacrifices you each have made and continue to make, but I sincerely appreciate and respect what you do for our country and it's people! You are all in my prayers and always will be!
Now...about my "mission." I am looking for a man (or men) who knew my brother-in-law's uncle. His father (whom we all endearingly call Grandpa Horner) had a brother - Cpl. Albert Leroy Horner of Lima 3/1 2nd PLT, 1st Squad who was KIA dec. 27 of 67. One of our family members was contacted by a man named MIKE FREED who was with Cpl. Horner when he died, but we can't seem to locate Mr. Freed. He said he was the radio operator and knew Cpl. Horner. If anyone could let us know how to reach Mr. Freed, or even had any information on other surviving members of Lima 3/1 2nd PLT, 1st Squad please contact me at treoweblues@yahoo.com.
