Subject: OT/We Had Little Joe's Eggs from the Chicken Coop..... Author: Barb (VCG) [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:02:42 04/07/03 Mon Another Ponderosa fan get-together has passed into history.... PonBon, LUVBonanza, Janet and I met in the Village (that's Greenwich Village in Manhattan for you out-of towners) yesterday afternoon and had a great time! We ate at a French bistro where the waiters and waitresses were tres francais, the menu was delicious, (the food was good, too) the cafe au lait came in a bowl - it was neat! Too cold for the garden, so we sat in a window overlooking Bleecker Street and focused on each other. Well, we sat at a TABLE that was in the window.... We all had omelettes of one kind or another, except Pon. Pon needs her red meat - that prime Ponderosa beefsteak! The time flew by, as time will do when Ponderholics convene. We actually talked about many other things and didn't get around to TP for almost an hour. Then we couldn't stop and were still throwing last minute thoughts to each other on the corner of 8th and 14th as we went our separate ways - after Pon buttonholed a strange man to take our picture. He took several, making sure to get the light right....LOL Many of your names were mentioned with affection and awe! Especially Jenx's dancing chicken - LOL We all agree we need to do this again VERY SOON. It is soooo much fun. We think we need a pajama party before too long. Or at least a kegger..... The best thing is, Pon, LUV and I are already friends and picked up where we left off. Janet fits right in with her sense of fun and adventure. (This woman spent many more hours in travel than sitting at the table. I asked her if it was worth the trip and she said "YES!") So, once again, if you've thought of getting together and are trying to get up the nerve - GO FOR IT! There are few things better or more fun than a group of TP fans all in one place trying to get a word in edgewise about their favorite show and cast. (If you want to know about the tattoos, the bakery, having the waiter follow us into the street and a store called - (actually I'm not sure I can post the name of the store on this site....) you'll have to get Pon, Janet and LUV to post. I would of gotten the tattoo though. LOL Dave would of just laughed. He gave up on me years ago. He knows I am crazy. As long as I come home to him. He doesn't care what I do. LOL LOL Well there are some things I wouldn't do. I do have my standards. Like Fish, I would never eat fish, and come home to Dave. That would disappoint him so, since he knows I hate Fish.
