Shalom Daniel,
Yes I remember you well. Good to see you again and welcome back to the Mosaic Board.
Claim your inheritance, sounds like something I'd say lol.
No, I don't believe that one must believe that Yeshua is G-d in order to be Saved. Of course He is G-d but it's not a requirement for Salvation to believe so.
Acts 16:30-31...
[The jailer] "brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house". There's more then just that, one must also repent of his/her sins and must also walk righteously to the best of their knowledge. That doesn't mean they wont fall from time to time but as long as they again repent, G-d will forgive. We don't lose our Salvation every time we sin either but if we continue to indulge in that same sin over and over, G-d will slowly draw His presence from us and that could then lead to apostasy.
We also must believe that Yeshua died and rose from the dead, that's a requirement. If one doesn't believe that, he/she is not Saved.
That all being said... there is also a matter of the Holy Spirit revealing the truth to an individual and they refusing that truth. This is the case for some of those Messianics who deny Yeshua's deity. Some truly do not believe it, but there are some who have had the truth revealed to them and they've refused it, they are in jeopardy. It falls under disobedience and rebellion and these are both sins which are damnable and can lead them to destruction. It's difficult to know where each person's heart is and if they've been shown by the Holy Spirit the truth. Having the truth revealed to them doesn't mean that they've simply been told. It has to be a revelation given to them by Yehova. A general rule is to see how much they are against it. In other words, if they are adamant and argue fiercely against the deity of Yeshua, I would then question their faith. This is only a general rule and not foolproof.
Again, welcome back and I hope to see more of your posts in the future,
Rabbi Stanley Chester
