As far as I know they are running it like they did in June.
They will run the bikes heads up with the top 8 bikes qualifying competing in eliminations for the top spot. Prize money was paid to 1st and 2nd place...$300 and $100, respectively, if I recall correctly.
Those bikes not qualifying in the top 8 were then allowed to compete in the bracket race against the cars for no additional charge, which incidentally provided an oppotunity to earn a much larger payout...don't remember how much.
I believe entry/race fee is $35.00 total...looking at the website, it might be $45.00 this time around. While the event runs on Friday and Saturday (August 29-30, 2008), the bike qualifying and eliminations will be done on Saturday only, however, you can come on Friday if you want to stake out a parking spot and leave your rig for the night. There will be qualifying and test and tune on Friday night, but I believe that is reserved for the cars...not positive.
Freddy Cruz has been real flexible and wants to "build" the motorcycle class. In June he was open to either allowing motorcycles to run with the cars for a shot at a larger payout than the motorcycle class alone pays out or to run all of the bikes together beyond the top 8 qualifiers in a bracket race with a bit larger payout if we had at least 32 bikes, I believe. In June since there were not that many bikes competing, neither of these options came to fruition. I'm not saying that these are options currently, but I believe could be if there was a "significant" number of bikes showing up to compete.
If you have further questions, I'd contact Freddy Cruz who is putting on the event. He can be reached at (210) 849-3225. You can also checkout the website where a bit more detail is provided, in terms of event schedule...unfortunately, there is not much more detail about motorcycles, in particular.
