Brechin's eyes open and narrow at Chijiresusu, wondering if he should be telling her all this. But the wolfess had never givin him a problem before. He stretched out his front legs.
Of course he had not told Drekka about this. She might already know, with her powers. But he had no reason to tell her, so long as he could fight and hunt and carry out his jobs accordingly. His silver pelt bristles, and his eyes scan the trees once more for Frarrow. Not for the first time, he longed to sink his teeth into the damned thing, and crush its frail body in his jaws. Sick or not, Brechin could easily take care of a simple raven. The raven Graz, who followed Letha, was a much more likable bird. Far more intelligent and cunning. Frarrow wasn't suited for the position he held with the Mistress. Brechin turned his thoughts back on Chijiresusu.
"She has no reason to know," he replies. "If she already does, and does not care, then it's fine by me. But I will not have her bustling into my buisness any more then she has to." The last words were not bitter. He knew Drekka would bother him if she found out and did not like it. She might keep him around, until she thought he was not fit for duty anymore. Then she would probably dismiss him, or keep him there, but put another in his place. He looks hard at Chijiresusu, wondering if she would go tell their Mistress what she had heard. This bothered him not, but it could complicate things...
