The female and male both held themselves as they had. Sill forms could have been carved from marble and painted with rich acrylics[sp?], yet they were nothing of the like, chests moving faintly with their breath. Currents of air ruffled their pelts as it grew colder, a comfort to them. The call that rang from the ebon ruler was noted, scribed down in the scrolls of memories that was stored in the mind of each.
With the arrival of the Drappa, Sordes found himself acting slightly more submissive, which was about as submissive as he could get. She was the Drappa, after all. His attention was, for the most part, fixed upon her in respect, though glances were sent to each of the four. Especially the shadowed bulk who was stealing his sister's scent. A natural, brotherly instinct boiled with anger in him, a wish to defend his compantion. But alas, he could do no such thing for then wasn't the time, and though he might be faster, it was painfully obvious that his sister was the stronger one.
The coal female remained submissive, noting the Captian's advice to be something she already knew. Watching the Drappa draw near, eyelids slid down and then opened again without thought. The tainted voice filled her ears, pinned back to a thickly furred skull. Her own words answered back, something like drops of heavy mercury falling as rain in the darkness of the silver moon's gaze.
"We have come from where the sun rises and the grounds are forever blanketed in white[north eastern-ish]."
As the red-clouded male fixed his attentions, more or less, on her, she made no response and kept her precious silence. Inwardly, she laughed. It must have been driving Sordes mad, but the insane male didn't bother her in the least.
