I think your two "DMI" products are pretty cool. I have not downloaded them, but I may give them a try.
A suggestion, why not expand the concept. I am planning to buy the "Tassman" Virtual Synth when
version 3.0 is released....SOMEDAY. But a brand of "targeted" Physical Modeling modules would be VERY
interesting as well. How about: DMI Woodwind, DMI Brass, DMI Strings, DMI Percussion etc.
They would have a much larger GUI to tweak the various instruments each module produces to add
Mute or Distrotion FX. They, would OBVIOUSLY NOT be FREE, but maybe US$50-100 each.
Tassman is GREAT, but what I just NEED is realistic Acoustic Instruments to compliment the ones
I will be creating via the Additive, FM and PCM "Hardware" based synths I own. Saxes are a PAIN
to try and create. They NEVER sound right. I'm thinking Phyiscal Modeling might do the trick.
HEY!!!!, I know!!!, it would be an EXTREME challenge, but, why not "DMI Voice" to produce a narrow range
of realistic sounding vowel sounds: Ohhh, Ahhh, UUUU, Dahh etc with "Formants" for Male, Female and
Child voices. You could cause a REVOLUTION!!!!! Pyshical Modeling has only just BARELY been tapped.
With VST, free of expensive proprietary hardware, PM could be ready for a "Second Coming". It's just
a matter of time before a gaint like "Native Instruments" breaks the ice. Why not beat them to it and
Patent and License your new algorythyms?
