The Dairy Compact, would that be the same compact that many mid west senators voted for to help Jeffords and then saw Jeffords stab them in the back? If Leahy and Jeffords had more respect among their peers we might have a chance of getting the compact back.

I agree that Bernie behaved poorly in the last election but you seem not to care that Leahy acted the same way in 98. Leahy spent 15% of his money on GOTV during the primary when he didn't have an opponent and the result was more than double the amount of people voted in the republican primary most assuredly Democrats that helped insure that Leahy would not face a challenge froma serious candidate but rather spread Fred. Leahy also is known for leaking secrets if you remember that. He is also extremely partisan to a degree in which I label him blindly partisan. His obstructionism in the judiciary is unrivaled in history.
