Just a quick point. Drilling in ANWR is not dumb. THe place in question is a nasty looking place if you've ever seen the photos, and the amount of land needed is so small. The existing Alaskan pipeline has done wonders for the caribou, it has hurt nothing, there is no evidence at all that drilling is in anyway harmful. But as always we ahve the right to disagree. As far as driling off the coast of FLorida, I'd be open to it but I think it has a lot more to do with tourism than anything else. It is not an environmental concern since the oil already leaks trough the ocean floor.

On education I guess the Ted Kennedys education bill isn't what you are looking for. I support the presidents version much more than the watered down version we ended up with but when you have to compromise with people like teddy, you will end up with less than optimum results.
