I can't imagine how you would consider yourself a conservative or republican if you don't support the idea of liberating the oppressed. I understand the isolationist attitude that many old time conservatives held but it is truely outdated.
Free people have a responsibility to spread freedom. I get a little frustrated listening to people that enjoy everything that freedom has to offer yet are unwilling to help others gain that same freedom.

Is our gov't consistent with whom we liberate? No we aren't but hopefully someday we will be, but that takes the support of the people and I don't see too many lazy, selfish, greedy Americans (particularly leftists) supporting the idea 0of spreading freedom anytime soon.

Millions died in Cambodia after we pulled out aid, the case was similiar in Vietnam where the south fell in mths after we cut off aid and more recently over 600,000 died in Rwanda while our UN friends sat by and did nothing, but niether did we. That is not humanitarian in my book.
