James, how do you account for the fact that all 29 Senators votd for the Senate versin of Act 60 reform?? Peter Welch was presiding thus did not vote. He also supported the bill. Thus ALL 30 Senators supported the Senate bill!!

'The 95 Reps who voted against the bill are basically all Republicans or Democrats who represent "gold towns". They were joined by the four Progressives because the progs want everything on income tax.

What this means is that the Senate found a plan that can be supported by both rich and poor towns and the House is still split into the "haves" and the "have nots." The House proposal as currently configured will never make it into law!
