Assuming Cheney doesn't run due to his rotten heart, I think a more likely pick is Colin Powell.

After the Lott fiasco, the GOP has to reach out to minorities. That's why House Speaker Dennis Hastert has asked GOP House members to hire more minorities. Sounds like Affirmative Action to me.
