We can start by talking to members of our local school boards to see what our schools are doing about prevention. The DARE programs just are not enough any more. Make sure that your school board members are taking this issue seriously.
Second, let your legislators know that this is a priority for you. Quiz them to find out how seriously they take the issue, and what they know about it.
Third, welcome and encourage well-run treatment programs in your county. Methadone Clinics are needed but they must be well run to prevent problems like crime and black-marked methadone.

Let's get as many School Board members and legislators to the film HERE TODAY as we can.

I promise, I'm not affiliated with the film Here Today ... nor am I a stakeholder in the project. I just feel very passionately that everyone in VT should see this film.
