That ironic because Dwight David Eisenhower was listed as a favorite by all Republicans by 6% in 1952. Sen. Robert F. Taft was favored by a wide margin during those early days on the 1952 presidential campaign. Eisenhower caught on in the primaries and it was the state of Minnesota under Governor Harold Stassen (favorite son candiacy) that swung the Minnesota delegation to Ike during the GOP National Convention in 1952.
Who knows at this time? You could be on to something as far as the nomination is concern.
