It is rather pathetic. They completely distort his record.

The fact is that Dean is a fiscal conservative. He believes in balanced budgets ... and Vermont has had balanced budgets under Dean's leadership.

He also believes that it is a national catastrophe to have so many people who are currently without health care. Under Dean's plan it would take one half of Bush's initial tax cut to provide health insurance for every man, woman and child in America. Having that sort of financial security would do wonders for the middle class and have a tremendously positive effect on the economy.
