Who is powel?

Are you talking about Colin Powell ?

What is going to happen after the war, when Saddam is gone? Who is going to run the government of Iraq?

Who is going to keep the Shiites and Sunnis from massacring each other. Who will keep the Kurds from being slaughtered?

Unless there is prolonged US military presence, Iran is sure to try to cross the border and make a grab for land (oil fields). Syria is likely to make a land grab too.

Prolonged occupation puts our troops in harms way (open to terrorist attack) for years and years. I don't doubt that the US has the means to rebuild Iraq. I just doubt that we have the stomach for it.

Most Americans have no clue as to what the composition of Middle Eastern society. We have no clue regarding Middle Eastern history. We are in no position to occupy a Middle Eastern state for years and years.
