Subject: And Further Former U.S. Senator Max Cleland

(D)-Georgia was going "mush" on the gun issue as he was caving in somewhat to the leftwing drift concerning more gun-control laws. His position on this issue became murky and he was inclined to support further repressive gun laws. This is political suicide in a pro-gun, pro hunting state like Georgia which he represented.
Even his fellow United States Senator; Zell Miller (D)-Georgia tried to advise him on this issue. Miller is a strong gun-rights United States Senator. This is why the ultra radical liberal wing within his party has an immense dislike for Miller.
Never-the-less Cleland went down to defeat because this was one key issue/factor. Never take an anti-gun position in a strong gun-rights state or area.
